Activities

Activities for Spooktacular take place in the Girl Scout's Program Activity Center in Farmindale and through-out Camp Sacajawea, the Girl Scouts' 150+ acre camping facility.

All events are girl-created and girl-planned. Activities that have appeared in the past include:

• Ghost Walk
• Hayride
• Storytelling
• Skits
• Marshmallow Roasting
• Pretzel Dipping (all but Junior session, Saturday night)
• Apple Dipping (Junior Session, Saturday night only)
• Dancing with the DJ
• Tombstone Scavenger hunt

In addition, several special activities and guests are occasionally added for certain sessions. In 2008, Spooktacular welcomed Real Jersey Country K98.5 and The Breeze which broadcast from our Program Activity Center and provided many exciting gifts and promotions. Also offered in 2008 was a Radio Disney Dance Party provided by Radio Disney, Philadelphia.

Participants were also amazed by The Balloon Guy at Daisy/Family Day. He taught local teen Girl Scouts to create balloon animals and shapes. Those girls then joined him in creating hundreds of items for Spooktacular guests.
